We bought this after listening to Chris read out one of his poems on the radio.

Fun Poems for Kids is very funny, charming, an absolute delight to read for all ages and to listen to when it's being read out loud by a 9yr old who cannot contain his laughter!

An absolute joy of a book.

Chippy Tea - Sung by Susan Osborne

My Magical bearded friend by chris husband

illustrated by Patricia Moffett

My Magical Bearded Friend is a mysterious character who gradually appears when the sun starts to go down and disappears when the sun reappears in the morning. The reader and listener are asked to question whether My Magical Bearded Friend is a real person or a trick of the eye. Is he tall or is he the shadow of the buildings and towers around the area at dusk? Can you smell his perfume or is it the scent of the flowers wafting on the breeze? Is he colourful and sparkling, or is he simply the reflection of the rising sun? You decide! Parents and children alike will love to read about My Magical Bearded Friend again and again.

School visits

I offer school visits to primary schools with my children’s books for Years 1 through to 4. These visits can include talks, Poetry workshops or creative writing sessions with smaller or larger groups.

food for thought by chris husband

The second release from Chris Husband, this is a collection of poems covering the light and dark of the world. From his favourite topic - eating - to his experiences with NHS and mental health issues.
This gathering of rhymes and prose takes the reader through the joy of eating, via the world of robot dancing and doctors appointments to the feelings we all encounter in the struggle to adapt to today's highly polarised world.
This follows the successful release earlier in 2022 of his debut collection called "Chips for Tea and other 10 minute Tweets".

Chips for Tea by chris husband

Chris Husband – Poet, Coder, and all-round good egg!
After challenging myself to write a poem a day in 10 minutes to place on Twitter, I figured that it would be a good idea to put them all in one, easy to read document.
So here it is. Enjoy.
There is something for everyone, from the serious to the irreverent, some sad, some funny - all by my own fair hand.
This is just a short Chapbook but definitely worth a read.

Good Morning Mr. Magpie

Haven’t we all at one time or another nodded politely at a Magpie and said “Good Morning!”.

I know I have!

Well, this children’s book shows what happens when you forget your manners and speak disrespectfully.

With brilliant drawings by Philip Husband, we follow the unnamed man as he learns a difficult lesson and finally understands that it is always better to be nice.

Happy Reading - and don’t forget to be nice!

Good Morning Mr. Magpie!

About chris husband

I have come to this Author lark pretty late in life, but they do say that everyone has a book in them waiting to get out. Well one of mine has got out! And I doubt it will be the last.

I am Northern (England) guy in his 60s who has a love of poetry, especially the ones that make you smile or laugh or feel something.

I recently featured on the BBC Radio Manchester Upload show reading some of my poems and have also performed at Manchester Art Gallery, Natter Bolton, Liver Bards, A Lovely Word (Liverpool) and Double Indemnity (Stockport)

Please check out some or all of the publications I have released as I am sure you will enjoy them.

Thanks

Chris
